All You Need To Know About Accounting
What are your qualifications?
My educational background includes a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a second in Accountancy from Northwestern State University where I graduated with honors in 2004 and 2006 respectively. In addition I have currently earned 20 credits towards a Master’s of Business Administration. I have over 15 years of work related experience in a wide range of business sectors, including both private and public accounting, performing various accounting and tax related duties.
How will you assist me in growing my business?
It is my duty for one to ensure that my clients are profiting more than they are spending. I will deligently analyze my clients spending paying particular attention to areas where expenditures are excessive and those that would benefit the company as a whole to have more spending allocated to them. I am committed to maintaining an open honest relationship with my clients and pledge to evaluate the clients plan monthly to ensure they are taking advantage of growth opportunities.
What services do you provide?
I have listed tax preparation services for both individuals and businesses. Also I provide financial services to clients that include monthly bank reconciliation, general ledger & financial statement preparation & personal financial statements.
*Upon request of the client my services will also include day to day tasks associated with bookkeeping, payroll and sales tax preparation for a small additional fee. Also upon request I will provide budgeting analysis and forecast projections.
What is you tax return turnaround time?
For clients presenting with more basic, standard 1040A returns my goal is within 1 week. More in depth itemized returns and many business returns, 2-3 weeks. It is my policy that all tax documents be in hand by April 1 for my most standard clients and March 22 for clients with more detailed tax situations in order to avoid filing an extension. I will work hard to complete any returns for clients who do not meet these deadlines, however I cannot assure an extension won’t need to be filed.
What is your take on ethics in general?
I firmly believe that good ethics are one of the most important aspects an accountant must have to be successful and gain a trusting clientele. I firmly stand for and practice a strong ethical view in all matters with regards to my clients. I would also like to stress that if a potential client comes to me during our initial free consultation with a financial or tax situation that I do not feel I can effectively take on to benefit that client, I will respectfully reject. Honesty is key!
